Petek Saraciye San. ve Ticaret A.Ş is the sole owner and manufacturer of the Petek 1855, Veles, and XXX brands. The company is headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey and continues a family tradition of leather-craft dating back to 1855. Branded Digital Commerce Ltd. is an online fashion commerce and digital merchandising service company founded in Hong Kong in 2015.

What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

All modern e-commerce websites are closely integrated with online services provided by other companies. As a general rule, Petek Group Digital Commerce does not collect personal data from casual visitors to our sites, but we do retain personal data provided by registered users. Also, there is a minimum amount of personal data such as customer name and address that we need to collect and retain in order to fulfill customer orders placed on the site, as well as save personal settings if requested by you. Visitor Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form in addition to the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help us with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Gravatar is a popular only profile service that allows users to associate a profile picture with their email address. They can then allow public websites such as ours to display that picture together with user’s name (typically in the comments section). After approval of your comment and if you have a Gravatar account, your profile picture will be visible on the site in the context of your comment.

Media Uploads

If you upload images to our website, you should avoid uploading images with any embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Because of its embedded nature, this location data then becomes available to anyone making a copy of the image, including other site visitors that happen to download your uploaded image from our site. We are unable to remove this embedded location data after it has been uploaded, so you should take care to remove it before uploading if you wish to keep it confidential.

Contact forms

Our site displays contact forms as part of our e-commerce operations, our customer service, and for your convenience. The personal information you input into these contact forms will be received and stored by the Petek Group Digital Commerce Team on our servers for varying lengths of time.

  • What types of personal data are collected through the contact form?
    • Contact form submission is limited to just your email address wherever possible, or your name and email if absolutely necessary.

Our website employs features provided by the Vimeo video portal. This service is provided by Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

If you visit one of our pages featuring a Vimeo plugin, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. Here the Vimeo server is informed about which of our pages you have visited. In addition, Vimeo will receive your IP address. This also applies if you are not logged in to Vimeo when you visit our plugin or do not have a Vimeo account. The information is transmitted to a Vimeo server in the US, where it is stored.

If you are logged in to your Vimeo account, Vimeo allows you to associate your browsing behaviour directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
